Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is a British music producer and musician and. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. His parents include Des Styles and Anne Cox. He was born on 1st February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where together with his three classmates, he founded his own band called White Eskimo. Following their victory in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance, the band also took part in the Battle of Bands 2010. Despite having an interest in music He also wished to become an attorney or an physiotherapist. He was employed at a local bakery part-time to help his family financially. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The group was then forced to split up because of the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles to join the band One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which made them one of the top contenders for winning the contest. However, they came in third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell didn't get the win in the contest. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
