Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from the mixed race family of South London in England. Her father and mother have both been English. Her family was raised in the south London community estate, as a teenager, she 14, attended The Brit School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe scored her first motion-picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. She then appeared in Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie in six episodes each of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes at The CW, and was later removed from the air. Ashley Davenport, a character from ABC's Revenge drama series was cast to play Ashley Davenport. In May of 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the past two seasons, had decided to quit the show with a guest appearance on the premier episode of the new season. Madekwe starred as Tituba in the television series Salem from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wed in June of 2012. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. Her parents Roy and Patty, as well as her four brothers, Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's family, which is all athletic, played in the summer months and play hockey in the winter months. Ashley had never been able to actually walk. She would dance. When she reached two and a half and a half, she began to take part in Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer immediately. Ashley was a professional dancer throughout the various divisions up until her graduation from high school. She competed in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe, as well as the acrobatics. The important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top Soloist".
