Anita Sarkeesian has been a Canadian and American feminist media analyst for more than twenty years. She is also an accomplished public speaking. Feminist Frequency is a site which hosts video and commentary on the representation of women in pop media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian a Canadian American media critic. Feminist Frequency is a not-for profit site for education that investigates female representations in popular cultural narratives is founded and is directed by Sarkeesian. Committed to destroying the stereotypes related to women in popular media, she is also working on issues related the harassing women targeted by the media and other classes of people on the internet. Sarkeesian has a degree in the fields of social thought and political science from York University. She is also an internationally acclaimed public presenter. Sarkeesian gave speeches to the TEDxWomen XOXO Festival and United Nations Broadband Working Group. Interested in issues concerning gender and feminism since the age of 7, she started her own website Feminist Frequency in the year 2009 when she was she was still at University. An ambitious woman who wanted to create a web series that examined the gender-based representation in video games was targeted by an online campaign. She was not deterred from the attack, and the fact is that it only bolstered her drive to become a media critic and feminist. The award-winning journalist has received numerous accolades for her numerous prominent contributions to the field of feministism. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award winner for her work as a media critic. She is also the director and founder of Feminist Frequency a nonprofit educational organization that explores pop culture representations of females.
