Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th, 1967) was an American performer and actress. She started her acting career when she was when she was in her teens. Her most well-known role was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for playing the character of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has been blessed with three brothers. The singer began performing in clubs as a teenager, and would sneak out of her house to sing. When she began studying acting at Wooster School from the age of 13, she was a drama student at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under renowned Uta Hagen. She is an Brookfield local born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th day of April, 1967. Her mother is a payroll accountant and her father, a German-American, is a policeman and car salesperson. Kari has 3 siblings. As a teenager was a nightclub singer, she would sing as she slipped out for performances. Kari aged 13 years old, attended the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor who was known for her work as Uta. Kari began acting when she was still a teenager. Her first big break on MTV Remote Control in 1987.
